The morning brings with it an excitement and anxiety that’s almost palpable. It’s early and the pieces in the collection are coordinated and organised. Each model already allocated to their outfits. The make up artist cleaning her brushes, the photographer taking test shots, the models practicing their poses, the photo-shoot experience is finally about to begin. From the look of the set, it’s easy to tell what the designer has in mind for the overall look of the photo-shoot. It’s clean and classy, two words that are synonymous with the Elizabeth Divine brand. From the simple and elegant make up to the minimal white background, the focus is all on the clothes. As they say, simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. I had worked with Elizabeth the night before, helping coordinate the clothes, choosing what pieces compliment each other, what each model wears and in what order. It was finally time to bring all the ideas to life and it was soooo much fun doing so.
The models are on their A game! the photographer is patient and the make up artist does her job to perfection. We started by taking single shots with each model, both full length and detail shots. After that, we took pictures of all three models wearing pieces in the collection that match either in colour or in style. All of the night before’s organisation pays off as everything is going smoothly and coming together perfectly.
All our models were absolute stars! We had the wonderful privilege of having The Face, UK finalist, Nadine Mendess on set which was super awesome. We also had Gianetta Martison and Donja Rosa, all three models are absolute pleasures to watch in the pieces, and did a splendid job of bringing them to life. Seeing the final pictures almost makes me emotional, haha. They are absolutely amazing, they are elegant, stylish and classy. I definitely think Elizabeth Divine is ready for world domination…. or let’s say domination of the luxury fashion world…lol.
Thanks to everyone that made the photoshoot a success especially to our friends, Mollie and Grace that came to support Elizabeth and of course thanks to me for my my wonderful assistance on set!
