Hi folks! I did promise I would improve the frequency of my post and I am so proud of my self right now. So I thought I should share more about my time in Paris last year. Exactly what I got up to and how it all started.
So after finishing the in bloom collection, I received an invitation from Oxford Fashion Studios to showcase at Paris Fashion Week! It was all last minute and I had to make a quick decision. Being invited to showcase in Paris is a big deal and an opportunity I couldn’t let go past me so of course I took it! In the famous words of a fashion icon, Audery Hepburn, Paris is always a good idea and those that know me know that I love love love the city. The show took place at the prestigious Le Salons Hoche, in one of the beautiful districts of Paris just a stone throw from the famous Champs-Élysées.
I got into Paris on the day of the show on Eurostar (my first time!). Elizabeth Divine was invited to showcase at the 9pm couture show so I had plenty of time to fit the models with my lovely assistant, Dorcas, a fashion student in Paris, meet other designers and had some time to check in a hotel and relax a bit just before the show.
The show kicked off to a great start and the energy back stage was electrifying. All the models looked great in their outfits and looked even more stunning as they walked down the runway! I was able to capture some of the moments thanks to a french fashion blogger who helped with the filming (click link below to watch).
All in all it was a great experience! I got interviewed on a national french tv station and networked with some amazing fashion designers and influencers.
My trip was very short but how can I visit paris without seeing at least one site!?
Have a great week folks and thanks for dropping by the blog today.
